Mark B. Cavallaro, P.E. is the Founder and Principal of Current Solutions Professional Electrical Engineering, Estimating & Consulting, P.C. located in White Plains, NY.

Current Solutions specializes in power system design, analysis, engineering design, electrical construction cost estimating, design build, value engineering for projects and clients throughout the United States. Included are: Verizon Wireless, Marriott, Coca-Cola, CNBC, Citibank, Contractors, Other Large Engineering, Architecture Firms, Developers.

Mark holds a B.S.E.E. degree from Villanova University, is a Registered Professional Engineer and Master Electrician. He has over twenty years of experience in Electrical engineering, cost estimating and construction of electrical power systems for industrial, institutional, commercial and residential projects.

His experience includes design engineering, short circuit, over current protection, power factor correction and load flow studies, instrumentation & controls, cost estimating, value engineering, design-build, construction administration, on-site field engineering inspections, and systems testing of low, medium, and high- voltage electrical equipment and systems.

Prior to forming Current Solutions, P.C., Mark was project engineer for Malcolm Pirnie, Inc. responsible for the design, system analysis and construction-administration of large water and wastewater treatment plants, as well as other industrial facilities nationwide.

Mark has also held a position as the Director of Engineering and Estimating for a large electrical contractor, providing estimating, electrical engineering, construction administration and technical support for the office and field staff. Projects included: Commercial, Industrial, Institutional, Retail, Schools / Universities and Government Buildings.

Mark is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and the IEEE Power Engineering Society. He is also a member of the following associations: The American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE); Society of American Value Engineers (SAVE); National Fire Protection Association (NFPA); the International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI); and the International Facility Managers Association (IFMA).

Mark is a featured author of several articles for local publications, as well as a featured speaker for local, national and international associations on electrical engineering, construction cost estimating and other topics.

Mark has been teaching group seminars on electrical engineering and estimating subjects. He is a lecturer of electrical engineering and estimating classes at New York University (NYU) and has performed customized training seminars for various size companies, including other engineering consulting firms and some of the largest electrical contractors in the nation.
